This photo was inspired by the song Fireflies (by Owl City)

The lyrics:
You would not believe your eyes
If ten million fireflies
Lit up the world as I fell asleep
'Cause they fill the open air,
And leave teardrops everywhere
You'd think me rude, but I would just stand and... stare
I'd like to make myself believe
That planet Earth turns slowly
It's hard to say that I'd rather stay awake when I'm asleep
'Cause everything is never as it seems
'Cause I get a thousand hugs
From ten thousand lightning bugs
As they try to teach me how to dance
A foxtrot above my head,
A sock hop beneath my bed,
A disco ball is just hanging by a thread (thread, thread)
I'd like to make myself believe
That planet Earth turns slowly
It's hard to say that I'd rather stay awake when I'm asleep
'Cause everything is never as it seems (when I fall asleep)
Leave my door open just a crack
(Please take me away from here)
'Cause I feel like such an insomniac
(Please take me away from here)
Why do I tire of counting sheep?
(Please take me away from here)
When I'm far too tired to fall asleep
To ten million fireflies
I'm weird 'cause I hate good-byes
I got misty eyes as they said farewell (they said farewell)
But I'll know where several are
If my dreams get real bizarre
'Cause I saved a few and I keep them in a jar(jar, jar, jar)
I'd like to make myself believe
That planet Earth turns slowly
It's hard to say that I'd rather stay awake when I'm asleep
'Cause everything is never as it seems (when I fall asleep)
I'd like to make myself believe
That planet Earth turns slowly
It's hard to say that I'd rather stay awake when I'm asleep
'Cause everything is never as it seems (when I fall asleep)
I'd like to make myself believe
That planet Earth turns slowly
It's hard to say that I'd rather stay awake when I'm asleep
Because my dreams are bursting at the seams

day 221-365...deep
Realizing that I will be moving from everything I know. Scary but exciting at the same time. Like I said before I will miss the warmth of Florida. I will miss my Mom, even if I don't see her much anymore. I will miss my brother, who I also don't see much. I wish I could of seen them more, but I work weekends and the weekends are their days off. I hope to see them before I move, not many days away now, but alas........I will be working weekends until I move. I will miss the group of coworkers at Spring Hill Chili's, they are so much fun to work with. Even on bad nights, I still have fun, I have known most of them now for almost 10 years. Man that is a long time.
Things that I will love when we move.....The seasons change! I have never seen fall before, that will be so exciting to me. Seeing it snow, I know I wont like the cold weather much, but just looking out the window and seeing snow will be beautiful. Those beautiful NE homes. They all look like little doll houses to me, I just love them. Not having too long of a hot summer. It is strange, you would never know by looking at me that I was born in Florida. I have no tan, because I can't stand the heat. Once it is in the 90's I don't step outside until after dark. Having my kids grow up experiencing the season change.
It is exciting an scary at the same time. My two boys are excited, like it is Christmas or something. They wanted a count down calendar that I created today for them. My daughter doesn't understand, she is only 4. She just asks me, every time I talk about moving, "When we going to Disney?" or "Am I gonna have a Lellow Room?"

day 220-365....One Fine Wire.....
Sometimes I don't have time to create some of my crazy ideas, so I settle for using a song to get another idea. That is how I got this image. I wanted to do so much more with it, the song talks about being frayed at both ends, but I just didn't have time.

day 219-365, another page out of my life....
cleaning my oldest son's room...it isn't something I do often. I make my kids clean their own room, but sometimes I just have to step in and clean it up. So I used it as my daily photo since I love making these busy pictures.

day 218-365, Enjoy the warmth while I can...
The things I know I will miss in Florida. The warmth, my family here, and a few close friends. But other than that I am really really happy about moving.

day 217-365 a little bokeh fun....
I love bokeh....that blurry stuff in the background is so beautiful! Look at it. I want to have a wall full of roses or any flower, just so I can take pictures in front of it for the beautiful bokeh that it would create.

day 215-, hidden selfie
OK, OK. I admit it, sort of tired of taking a picture of me everyday, need a break every few days. So I am hidden in this picture. Took me a few shots to get it in the right spot but I am in there.

day 214-365
Didn't have any creative ideas for this day. So I took a photo of my favorite photo box. It is only my favorite because it has my 3 kids on it.

day 213-365, bokeh
I wanted to take some pictures of my daughter with green grass bokeh behind her. So while I was out there I took this of me for my 365. Not the best composition, not the best face expression, but it works for my project.

day 212-365
sometimes you just don't have the energy to be creative. So this is what you get. I took this in my hallway late at night, lit only with my kids bathroom light.

day 211-365
Frogs! I love them....I have a huge collection of frog stuff, so many that some are still at my Mom's house. There is just something cute about a frog. I love real ones, fake ones, stuffed animal ones. Frogs, Frogs, Frogs.

day 210-365
I call this "looking into the future" I shot this in my mirror before heading to work. Nothing special about it. Just a fast one before heading out the door.

day 209-365....circles
circles and loops,
loops and circles.
never ending
in and out of my mind
round and round,
up and down,
never can keep track.
One second here,
next second there.
I can feel it
In the air,
on the ground,
everywhere in the sound
taste the new,
smell the old,
tickles my belly so.
loops and circles.
never ending
in and out of my mind
round and round,
up and down,
never can keep track.
One second here,
next second there.
I can feel it
In the air,
on the ground,
everywhere in the sound
taste the new,
smell the old,
tickles my belly so.

day 208-365
The things that have been running around in my head the day of this photo. Our house is sold, where are we going to go? We have a few choices, weighing them out now. Should we stay, should we go? What if? But? That one is beautiful, oh but that one has 7 acres! 7 acres! Imagine the fun the kids could have. What gardens I could plant. But this one has character. Wow! 7 ACRES!!!! Always wanted to live on lots of land. But this one has 5 bed rooms. Oh my look at the land, out of the 7 acres it looks as if only 1 acre has been cleared. Oh the fun the kids could have. This one is cute. Oh it looks like a doll house, all it is missing is a white fence. But 7 acres, oh my!
I am not one for the unknown, when it comes to the things in my life that I can control. This unknown stuff is giving me headaches and tummy aches. Can't wait until we make up our minds. Almost there.

day 206-365
I just snapped a fast one this day. I had a busy day of house work. So I let my hair down, then snapped a photo.

Mood and color.....day 205-365
RED! What can I say about red. I wanted to work with the same background that I used as a dress the day before...but I also wanted to use it as a background....lucky for me I am short and the background is really really long. I wanted to show the mood I get from the color red. Powerful, Strong, Bold! So I got this idea, painted my face with a red eyeshadow (that I never use) and gave it a go. I have some out-takes posted on my flickr.

Complementary colors.....day 204-365
I have this red background that never really gets used....so I use it as a prop when I can. I wanted the red to stand out so I went with an outside photo to use the complementary color to help the red pop out of the image....then after looking at this I thought it looked like I was longing for something or someone....so I added a hand written letter texture to add a bit more mood to the image. I really like how this one turned out.

day 203-365...
Since my hair was long enough to braid, I figured I would try another style I did a lot to my hair a few years back. My hair isn't really long enough for it, but with lots of hair spray and bobby pins I made it work.

day 202-365..hair fun before work....
Before my life got crazy busy with my kids, I would do silly hair styles for work. I haven't really done much with my hair since my daughter was born. I just didn't have time. With my oldest son and his baseball, my middle child and his getting into trouble or talking someone else into doing something for him that he knows would get him in trouble. Then my daughter who never would let me out of her line of vision for longer than 2 minutes when I am home. So I cut my hair. Well, that was something that I wish I didn't do. At first I loved it, then when I couldn't even do french braids any more I was at a loss. So the other day I gave it a go....used lots of hair spray to get the short strains to say in but it worked. So I had to take a picture of it.

day 201-365...sick day
I was so sick that I didn't want to get out of the warmth of the shower, so I took this photo because of it. I didn't want to photograph my face, my nose looked like a red ball on my face. Lucky for me I think it was only allergies because I was so much better the next day.

day 200-365, one light setup again.
I love the shadows that can be created with one light setup. There is just something about photos of faces when half of the faces is in the light and the other half is in the dark.

day 199-365, dead tired!
I am not a morning person. So waking up at 5am to get my oldest son at the bus stop at 6 isn't working well with my body. Come 8pm I am so tired I feel like I could pass out if I sat down. So naturally working nights at chili's isn't working either. Come 8:30pm I am beat and ready to go home. So I figured with this photo I would show how I felt when I came home from working a night shift after just two days of waking up at 5am....now this has been almost 2 weeks since I took this photo so I am getting adjusted to waking up early, I just had to learn how to go to bed before midnight.

day 198-365, a page out of my daily life....
I love these type of photos, I just put the camera on a tripod and hit the remote button and continue my cleaning, then I put them all together in photoshop. It is fun to see all that I do in one room of the house within an hour.

light play day 197-365
Love the lighting on this one. With this I had two lights, one lower powered light on the background and one on me.
