reading, day 116-365
I am a huge Harry Potter fan. I have read all the books, some of the books 2 or more times. Seen everyone of the movies so far and have them all on DVD. So since it is getting close to the release of the half blood prince movie I figured that I should read the book again, just to make sure it is all fresh in my mind before I see the movie. I also figured since reading is a big part of my life I would do a few photos about reading.

lighting fun....day 115-365
Well I wanted to have a little lighting fun since it has been a while since I have played with my lighting set up. So I took my backdrop that no one ever wants to use (peachy cream color) set up two lights. One to the left side of the camera (from behind the camera) and the other light directly behind the camera. I flagged the one on the left so the light only hit the subject (me) then took a photo. Then I turned on the other light and took another photo. Just wanted to see how much a fill light would change the photo, now if only I posed the same for both photos. It was fun, going to try again another day but will try to pose the same way for both photos.

Up close and personal, well to my lens. Just a fast one still taking a photoshop break. I have some ideas that I will be working on soon, just needed a little break from the photoshop world. It sucks me in ;).

light play....day 113-365
This photo I used only available light from my bathroom, while I stood in my dark bedroom. I added texture to make my plain wall look like a wallpapered wall. That was all I did, taking a break from huge photoshop projects.

What's under your bed? day 111-365
I think every child growing up thinks there is a monster under their bed, or image that dead hands pull them off their bed to the unknown. So they check every night before going to bed to make sure there isn't anything under their bed. At least when I was little I know I checked under the bed every night. I played on that old childhood fear here and used it for my 365. I think I will be doing a few more of these childhood fears type. It was fun.

just a fast one....day 110-365
I had no energy after working at chili's so I just took a fast one in the mirror. I worked on color popping with my hair, turned it a red shade for fun, sort of like coloring my hair without all the mess. Then I mirrored the image and added a texture. I am loving the textures right now.

Sucks you in....day 109-365
This image I made because that is the way I feel about TV. It sucks you in. You sit down to watch one show then one show turns into 4.
I know that once I put on one show I end up watching more, but I still can't stop. Silly TV shows.

I was trying for a spaceship window, ended up with something that looks a little like a dragon eye. But it works. I shot this with bright lights behind me and over exposed the image so I could have the effect I was looking for. Then I created what I thought was going to be a spaceship window in photoshop.

Well since we just got our kitchen some what back to normal...if you call normal no counter tops for about 2 more weeks. I figured I would do this shot now, before we have the counter tops in. I feel once the counter top and the sink is there then I wouldn't have room to hide in there.

hold on while I put on my face.... day 106-365
Just having some photoshop fun. I love to be creative like this. There is just something about creating something strange. It makes me smile. I guess it is the artistic side of me. Created this by taking two photos in my kids bathroom for the tile wall. I took one of myself holding my face and another with me having my hands to the side with eyes open. removed my face features in photoshop then I added texture to get more of a creepy feel.

untold truth, scandals and deception...day 105-365
This photo idea has been in my head for years. Every place I have ever worked at has gossip and it spreads faster than fire. The more people find out the more things get messed up. It is crazy how you can tell one person something and then the next day everyone knows. I tend not to want to listen to the gossip but sometimes you hear it. Some people spread it to hurt the person the rumor is about others do it because they think the person they told is not going to say anything.

I got home from work too late to do anything great. So I snapped a quick photo of my silly combination of black socks and crocks. Then added a texture to make it not so dull.

Brownie Reflex 20 camera, day 103-365
While helping my Mom clean her house we found some old cameras. This one is a Brownie Reflex 20 camera. They don't make the 620 film for it anymore, but I can purchase 120 film that can be rolled onto a 620 reel for the camera. I don't want to try to do it myself so I will be buying some that someone already rolled onto the reel soon to try out this wonderful camera.

old school days....day 102-365
Found this old bush gardens key chain today in my old bedroom at my Mom's house. It was all scratched up so I couldn't see the photo very well, so I took it out and saw a photo from either 1991 or 1992.
day 101-365, my old room...
I knew once I moved out of my parents house they would change my room, they did with my older brother. But I never really noticed the changes until staying there for a week. The only thing that is the same is all the Disney Characters on the walls that I painted and the purple main color on the walls.
day at the beach...day 100-365
Since both Josh and I had off from work we figured we would spend the day at the beach with the kids. We always look for hermit crabs to pick up, since there isn't much sea life at Pine Island in Hernando County. We sometimes see dead starfish, or live sting rays, dolphins, small sharks, but nothing much. So when I found this starfish I figured it was dead, when I picked it up it moved in my hand. So I took a photo of it with my cell phone and threw it back into the ocean.
Happy 6th wedding anniversary! day...99-365
On May 10th it was our 6th anniversary. We spent our first night without the kids in over a year. Also the first time in a long time that I didn't have to cut anyones food up before eating my own. I felt out of place, my food was hot while I ate it, and I didn't have to stop eating to take one of my kids to the bathroom. It was great.

day 97-365, still at my Mom's
I love frogs, I love them so much that when I was 16 my Mom and Dad let me paint them on my bathroom wall. The fact that my parents believed in my art talent so much that they let me paint on the walls is wonderful. Life lesson from that is : Embrace your child and their talents.

Yes I am having fun with this levitation thing. I am still working on ideas for the art for art sake contest that is on http://www.thehideoutforum.com. I really hope to work on something later today for another attempt at a photoshop manipulated photo. If I get back in time from work to take a few creative photos. If you are a photographer or photography is a hobby you should join us at the hideout. I have had so much fun with all the projects they give and the challenges you can sign up for. The best part is all the great photographers that are on there.

day 94-365, cool old phone prop...
Right now I am staying at my Mom's house for a few days while my house is getting remodeled. I didn't think to bring anything for my 365 photos for my 3 night stay. While looking around for a photo idea I remembered this old phone and table set that she has, also that she had a 50's Halloween costume. I went and found it, she took out a belt so it fit me better and there it was my 365 idea for the day. I have another shot idea planed for tomorrow with the same phone.
day 93-365, goodbye to you tile...
Saying goodbye to my green tile, 15 year old white cabinets and green counter tops. I was taking pictures of all the areas in my house that will be remodeled and saw that I was in the photo. So I used it. Yes, LAZY ME!
day 91-365
Not enough time to do something creative. Walked in the door, picked up my camera and my kids clung to my legs saying bed time story mommy. So I took the picture and read them a story.

to levitate or not to levitate, day 90-365
I have a few ideas running circles in my mind for a contest on the hideout. I wanted to work on some levitation photos for it. This was fun to create but not sure if I am going to use this one, going to try again another day to see if I can get something better. Seems like I am never 100% happy with my own work ever, but I can say I am 97% happy with this one. Looking for that 99% or even 100% for this contest, but might settle for 97% in the end.

just a fast one, didn't really have energy to create anything fun, but don't want to miss a day of this challenge.
