It is really hot here in Florida right now. To me it feels like it is 100 degrees outside. I wanted to sit outside on this blanket but ended up putting it on my head to keep cool. My kids don't mind the heat and would play for hours outside in it if I let them, but I was hot so they only played for about an hour before I wanted to go back inside. I figured the yellow blanket on my head would make for an interesting picture. I love the bokeh behind me.

2 light setup fun....day 131-365
Wanted to play with 2 light setup again. So I had set up one diffused light to the camera left and one behind the camera. Tossed a fan in the mix and had a little fun.

Love my bathroom so much now that the remodel is 99.8% complete. I will miss it so when the house sells. But it will be great as long as it lasts. I may miss the wonderful new bathrooms and kitchen in my house when it sells but the upgrade to a bigger house will make it all worth it.

Our bathroom, it isn't 100% finished yet, but it is 98.9% complete. So I cleaned a little more than I normally do. I am now ready to paint it white (blah), then put the mirror back up.

Me and an old Minolta, day 128-365
This was once my Dad's 1966 Minolta Hi-Matic 7s and Minolta De Luxe Flash Gun. I just found the online manual to this and now need to order the battery for this camera so I can try it out. I am so glad that it takes 35mm film, unlike the other 2 cameras that once belonged to my Dad.

I saw somewhere on model mayhem a photo with daisy petals glued onto eyelashes. I don't have any flowers right now or do I own false eyelash glue so I used photoshop to get this look. Daisy image is from one of my older photos.

day 125-365, lighting fun.
I wanted to try my hand at light from a candle. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. It was fun too. I used only the light from a tea light candle that I held in my hand. I will post some out-takes for you with camera settings in flickr later this week.

After hours of walking Angelica finds a small clearing, she sits down. At first she was frightened, not knowing where she was, or who she would meet in the forest. Then she was surrounded by butterflies, a clamming sensation came over her as the blue bird landed on her hand.
Just wanted to do a complete 180 from yesterdays photo.

As the sun sets, a heavy fog appears from the ground. Rising up engulfing the entry to the graveyard. She waits, but not for long. The ground starts to quake arousing the dead. Soon her army of followers will help her take over.

I think I spend more time cleaning than anything else, but that is life. The walls are still empty because of the kitchen and bath remodel, we didn't want dust all over our stuff. I love how these cleaning ones turn out. By the time this 365 project is done I will have one of these for every room in my house.

reading, day 116-365
I am a huge Harry Potter fan. I have read all the books, some of the books 2 or more times. Seen everyone of the movies so far and have them all on DVD. So since it is getting close to the release of the half blood prince movie I figured that I should read the book again, just to make sure it is all fresh in my mind before I see the movie. I also figured since reading is a big part of my life I would do a few photos about reading.

lighting fun....day 115-365
Well I wanted to have a little lighting fun since it has been a while since I have played with my lighting set up. So I took my backdrop that no one ever wants to use (peachy cream color) set up two lights. One to the left side of the camera (from behind the camera) and the other light directly behind the camera. I flagged the one on the left so the light only hit the subject (me) then took a photo. Then I turned on the other light and took another photo. Just wanted to see how much a fill light would change the photo, now if only I posed the same for both photos. It was fun, going to try again another day but will try to pose the same way for both photos.

light play....day 113-365
This photo I used only available light from my bathroom, while I stood in my dark bedroom. I added texture to make my plain wall look like a wallpapered wall. That was all I did, taking a break from huge photoshop projects.
